Radiant Communications is showcasing upgrades to its innovative V4400 MPEG-2 Series, including the V4410X-T encoder and V4420X-R decoder at Booth 2689. The manufacturer has recently expanded the capabilities of its MPEG-2 solutions by incorporating professional-grade XLR audio connectors which support 600 ohm audio connections, enable optimum interference rejection, and simplify connections to the device while using audio standards.
One of the most significant features of Radiant's V4400 Series is its ability to deliver video and audio over T1 lines even when a LAN/WAN does not exist and fiber is not present. This network solution for rural markets is accomplished when the new MPEG-2 products are used in conjunction with Radiant's DL233 which combines T1 lines to provide an Ethernet connection.
As an additional benefit, the audio and video transmitted via Radiant's V4400 products can be simultaneously and remotely monitored using computer software from any location with an Internet connection. Radiant's MPEG-2 products are designed for either unicast point-to-point signal distribution or multicast applications to multiple locations on an Ethernet network. Designed to maximize bandwidth efficiency, these units enable users to select the data transfer speed within a range of 1.5 and 7.5 Mbps.
"The upgraded V4400 MPEG-2 encoders and decoders deliver on Radiant's commitment to provide the telecommunications community with innovative solutions that are cost-effective," says Mike Kerry, Radiant's Midwest regional sales director.
