InfoComm International is set to kick off InfoComm 06, the largest conference and exhibition for the professional audiovisual and information communications industry. Building on the momentum of a great year, the association is projecting record numbers of exhibitors and attendees at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, June 3-9.

This year's InfoComm gathering will occupy more square feet than ever before 420,000 square feet total, including a 325,000 square foot show floor. InfoComm has grown its show to more than 750 exhibitors and more than 25,000 attendees by offering demonstrations of applied technologies, defining the industry by applications and technology, and offering a wide-range of high quality education programs. In addition to the AV commercial industry, InfoComm caters to a broad spectrum of market sectors, including corporate and mid-to small business, education, government, military, worship, healthcare, entertainment, and the meeting and trade show industry.

InfoComm 06 will feature over 250 educational sessions, many of which have already sold out. Attendees can still register for the show at www.infocommshow.org.

InfoComm attendees will include commercial AV solutions providers, and stagers of live events. But Infocomm also attracts the buyers, designers and users of AV technology, including IT professionals, architects, facilities managers, engineers, digital signage end-users, presentations designers, end users, sales and marketing staff and meeting planners. In addition to the core AV professionals, InfoComm has become the show for end users and technology managers to attend to make decisions on their purchases for the upcoming year as well as learn how to manage their technology issues.

And let's not forget the hard-working and innovative folks who create the products that drive this industry. The Manufacturers Forum will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Moderated by Gary Kayye, CTS, of Kayye Consulting, the Forum brings together leaders in display, audio and networking technology to discuss future trends within the audiovisual industry. A perennial favorite at InfoComm, this roundtable not only offers valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities we all face, but also includes time for questions from the audience. Panelists include Andrew C. Edwards, Founder and President of Extron Electronics; Mike Jones, VP and General Manager of Barco Media and Entertainment North America; John Meyer, President/CEO of Meyer Sound Laboratories Inc.; Robert Mueller, Executive VP, Chief Operating Officer of JVC Professional Products Co.; Rashid Skaf, President and CEO of AMX Corporation and Rick Snyder, President, Americas of Tandberg.
