The third annual AV Awards Banquet returns to InfoComm 2006 in Orlando, and will cap off Super Tuesday as AV professionals celebrate the success of leaders in the industry, in both the installed AV and Rental & Staging markets.
The AV Awards Banquet will take place Tuesday evening, June 6. Awards will be presented by Systems Contractor News, Rental & Staging Systems magazine, ARCHI-TECH Magazine, and InfoComm International. This year the Awards ceremony will start a bit earlier (5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.), will be a more streamlined affair, and will lead into the InfoComm Party, which starts at 7:30 p.m. As befitting an event for this crowd, the party will feature standout sound, lighting and video systems (featuring display equipment from Barco and audio equipment from Telex), and a concert by national recording artists, The Smithereens. (And you don't want to miss the opening act: InfoComm International conducted an InfoComm Party Opening Act Contest, and received numerous entries for this event from some very talented groups, all made up of industry members, across the industry. Systems Contractor News, sponsor of the 2006 Systems Contractor News Installation Product Awards, will acknowledge excellence in product design for the AV installation market. Categories include Best Audio/Loudspeaker, Best DSP Product, Best Video Projection Product, Best Control Product and more.
The ARCHI-TECH AV Awards, co-sponsored by ARCHI-TECH magazine, are designed to honor outstanding examples of the creative and effective integration of technology into otherwise traditional construction projects.
The Rental & Staging Awards recognize the Best Staged Events that took place in 2005. Entries were submitted by staging companies. Winners were chosen by a panel of experts including staff of Rental & Staging Systems magazine and members of the InfoComm Rental&Staging Council.
The Rental & Staging Awards will also recognize the Best New Products introduced in 2005. Winners were chosen by the readers of Rental & Staging Systems magazine in on-line voting.
