Building on the continued worldwide success of the VERTEC product line, JBL Professional (Booth 1671) is launching the new VT4887ADP three-way line array element and VT4881ADP powered subwoofer. These two new compact, powered models are designed to deliver high-quality sound reinforcement of music and speech in a variety of applications including concert audio, corporate A/V and theatrical presentations of all types.
"The VERTEC DP Series, equipped with JBL DrivePack Technology, is now providing the tour and special events sound community with a powered option. Equipped with integral digital signal processing, these systems can improve performance consistency for many applications," says David Scheirman, vice president of tour sound, JBL Professional. "The VT4887ADP and VT4881ADP models take these benefits even further with advanced networking technology for control and monitoring options, while delivering on JBL's unmatched standard of sonic performance."
The VT4887ADP is a compact, powered lightweight three-way line array element housing two eight-inch woofers, four four-inch midrange radiators, and two one-inch exit high-frequency drivers. Designed in cooperation with Crown and dbx, the JBL DP2 DrivePack features 2200 watts peak (1100 watts continuous) output power and comprehensive digital signal processing, including patented high-efficiency Class-I power amplifier technology from Crown and onboard DSP functionality that communicates readiness and operational status and monitors fault detection of components and electronics. Advanced VERTEC-class component transducers provide a high power-to-weight ratio.
The VT4881ADP is a compact, lightweight vented subwoofer enclosure housing JBL's exclusive new 2269G Ultra Long Excursion 460mm (18 inches) woofer and a JBL DrivePack DP1 fully integrated power and DSP electronics package. Optimized for subwoofer applications, the DP1 provides 3,600 watts peak (1,800 watts continuous) output power.
The VT4887ADP and VT4881ADP both feature rigging hardware that relies on quick-release pins and end-mounted metal frames to couple adjacent units together in rigid but flexible arrays. The VT4887ADP's suspension hardware features quick-release pins and end-mounted metal tubes to couple adjacent VT4887ADP's together.
