StarTech.com (Booth 665) is introducing a unique new converter (VGAHD2HDMI) that allows users to connect analog equipment with VGA outputs to HDMI displays. This product is part of StarTech.com's new product line, called "Converge AV," which includes a number of specialized converters/scalers, extenders, splitters and switches needed by installers to complete both commercial and home A/V projects. The broad product selection offered by StarTech.com will allow installers to offer end-to-end solutions to their customers while minimizing the amount of time and effort required to source specialized products.
The new VGA and audio to HMDI converter allows installers utilize analog video sources while enjoying the benefits of HDMI such as higher video quality and the convenience of having audio and video signals share one cable. This capability gives installers greater flexibility and saves the cost of having to replace analog equipment. Applications for this converter include digital signage installations where newer HDMI displays may need to be connected with older components or PCs with VGA outputs and analog audio.
